D.G.R. has been present since 2013 - providing exceptional enrichment and leadership development opportunities to youth in the greater PHOENIX area. We offer youth an opportunity to create and mold their own unique experiences through our wide range of educational and leadership activities. We see the true power that our youth hold, and we have made it our mission to transform them into natural born leaders, ready to take on the world.

MEET THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR:

Antonette Pearson grew up in some of the most dangerous areas in Phoenix, Arizona. Witnessing hardships, violence, death and poverty at it's finest. Antonette knew at a very young age, she wanted to help. Help those that have little to no hope due to their environment.  Antonette's passion to give back to her community is undeniable. She is a true community leader, with her innovate ways on making D.G.R. reachable across Arizona. Antonette's focus is community relationship, community building, community resources, and community engagement. Antonette received her Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development. She has owned, operated and managed a variety of establishments for corporations as well as her own. Antonette has more than 20 years of excellent customer/community service. Antonette is a member of the National Small Business Association, The NAACP West Valley Chapter as well as the National Society of Leadership & Success.

Recently, Antonette was given the opportunity to help advocate for SB1453: Which will allow local Community Colleges in Arizona the chance to offer Bachelorette programs at their campuses. Antonette understood the positive affect this could have within her community. After months of sharing her personal experiences professionally, academically, and personally with local officials.  Little be known the bill passed and was signed into law by Governor Doug Ducey. Antonette story was also highlighted by Governor Doug Ducey during the signing of SB1453. This is another example of Antonette's passion for her community. In result of all her efforts, Antonette was recently awarded with the Chancellor Medallion as well as being recognize as one of the Champions of Maricopa.
